StaffMasters is recruiting a UX Architect to join a multinational home appliance manufacturer in Charlotte. This critical role will play a key part in defining and shaping digital solutions by delivering user-centered designs in support of web, mobile web and mobile application experiences. This is a 6 month contract opportunity. Salary: $100K-$110K

Job Duties:
Capture and translate business requirements and user needs into useful and innovative user experiences
Conduct brainstorming sessions, competitive analyses, participate in and/or conduct research with end users to inform designs
Collaborate with customer research team on usability studies to understand customer behavior, refine design approaches, and validate solutions
Strategize and collaborate with UX team members, creative team, business stakeholders, and development teams to form user experience solutions and take action on research findings
Create presentations, user flows, wireframe specifications, prototypes and other necessary documentation to communicate the recommended user experience to stakeholders and development teams
Participate in regular reviews with work partners (creative team, business stakeholders, and development teams), UX team, and leadership to share design direction and gather feedback
Prioritize tasks, manage expectations, mitigate risks and offer creative approaches to achieving design solutions even in the context of challenging constraints

Requirements:
7+ years of experience in user interface design, information architecture, interaction design, human factors, and other related UX disciplines
BS/BA Degree in Design, Technology, Psychology, Human Factors or HCI preferred
Experience creating user experiences for e-commerce businesses
Must have a strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (eg: wireframes, user flows, site maps, research, etc.)
Strong understanding of usability principles, web standards, mobile OS standards (iOS and Android), UI patterns and their application
Experience using analytics data to inform design decisions
Experience with conducting or participating in research with end users and applying those findings
Proven ability to diplomatically advocate for the user, communicate informed design rational and value
Ability to manage stakeholders expectations, culture and process changes
Effective cross-function collaboration skills
Outstanding communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills
Ability to estimate work efforts and determine timelines
Experience with all stages of the software development lifecycle in both traditional, waterfall and agile
Experience creating wiresframes and prototypes in Axure
